Title: Pattern for Humongous Windshield
Post by: Mike Griffin on March 26, 2008, 08:16:35 AM
The Humongous has an open cockpit and plans call for a windshield.  I have never built a plane with an open cockpit and thanks to Allen B.  and some other friends, I have lots of pictures of the plane showing the acrylic windshield on the finished product.  The plans do not show a pattern for this which would make it a lot easier than cutting out paper prototypes until you get the right angles.  Has anyone ever made a pattern for this.  It could save you a lot of time and frustration.

Thanks

Mike

Mike,
If a pattern is available, I would like a copy, if possible.
I have a "modern" style tapered teardrop config available for mine but would appreciate a more "period type" if possible.
Thanks,
Roger V.

Hi Roger,

If anyone posts that has one or if I find someone who had one, I will certainly send it to you.

Or, just a thought, you might want to get some card stock, and cut some patterns till you got one that looked right.

Thanks Mike.
I also like Bill Gruby's mockups for the R'Master Bipe.
