I wouldn't take her to a dog fight even if she had a chance to win.

Very interesting.  How is it controlled?  If it is using RPM differences between the two motors then the new rules make it illegal.
Anybody that can make something like this, and fly the pattern with it,  disserves to be grandfathered or given a waiver,  and stand for a round of applause.

Mr. Sumner always came to the contest with a different multi winged and most of the time multi engined plane. Not always the same size and brand of engine either. This one is the most outrageous that I have seen. I was able to count 22 airfoils between the wing and stab. There may have been more.

I understand that he did quite well with a bipe or triplane, but I had never seen THIS! Can anyone tell us how he did in competition with it? Was this one just to test the limits? Credulity is challenged!

As I remember he did most of the maneuvers with it. That in itself was a huge accomplishment.
