Title: No Strip Screw Holes

I found a way to keep wood screws from stripping out of balsa.  After the screw has been installed, remove it and put a drop of thin C/A in the screw hole, let it sit for a minute or so until the glue dries and reinsert the screw.  This seems to create threads in the balsa that last for the life of the plane.

That's the beauty of working with wood ..... Just cut the glued-in screw out, replace the wood that was removed in doing so and do it over again, properly.

This is indeed a neat trick. I use it regularly for tapping plywood plates for non critical stuff like ballast box lids and cowling attachment points.

Prcedure is the same, though this doesn't work well for anything below about 3/32 thivk. Just drill and tap the ply. Dribble some runny CYA onto the threads and wait a bit, then pass the tap through a second time to clear the threads. Works really really well and is an absolute gift for plastic bolts
