New gas & electric starter box
« on: March 05, 2025, 07:33:34 AM »
This is not a great invention.  It's just a handy thing I was able to build from available materials.
It's a started bod with four functions:

1. Utilize large starters from swap meets to crank larger engines.
2. Easily reversed for left-handed engines, of which I now have a few.
3. Can be clamped-down and used for single-handed engine starting.
4. A power supply for recharging Lipos away from 110 VAC and the parking lot.

The material is cull wood from Home Depot which is sold at a 70% discount.  Cull wood is generally large large lumber which is defective in some way, but can be cut down and used for small projects.
The assemby is 100% Tite Bond III with no nails or threaded fasteners.
The paint is Rust Oleum grape of which I can't imagine why I bought it.
