Title: New build Thread
Post by: RC Storick on July 22, 2012, 08:31:49 AM
It's been a whiles sense I built anything but this years NATS has me in the mood. So Today I am cleaning my shop and getting all the parts together for my next years project. Yes it will be electric and no Pilot. I studied many electrics this week and will be adding my own twists while still keeping the wheel round (My guess is I will be the only one to understand that last part). So in the next few weeks look here as I will post progress as I did with my other builds.

It has taken me a year to gather all the stuff but I think I have it now.

while still keeping the wheel round (My guess is I will be the only one to understand that last part)

This has to have something to do with not reinventing the wheel.  Do share.

And when you're doing your build thread, feel free to throw in things that you think are absolutely boringly routine.  Sometimes the best things that I carry away from someone's build thread is how they built their bench, or the way they keep their glue bottles from clogging, etc.

I get more info from peoples build threads than anything, especially the finishing techniques.
It's OK to redesign the wheel, just be prepared to scrap the idea and be critiqued.
Your p-47 is awesome.

Ok Sparky, here's the deal, it's been waaay too long since you've been a visible regular here and posting any build stuff. I think a bunch of us here are hungry to see some build projects from you again. The site wasn't broke, DON'T "fix" it! I'm not sure yet, but with my wimpy laptop here some of these most recent changes seem to be affecting me even using the site. I'm not gonna buy a new computer. Get back to building and flying, and keep us in the loop. y1 ;D

Hi Sparky.  Sorry to read that you lost the P-47.  Now you'll surely have to get that new machine on the build.  RIP P-47.  Hope the new one serves you well.

Dave

I'm kinda with Sparky. I'm at a low ebb for model planes. Just a lot of other stuff going on right now and it's not leaving a lot of time for playing with toys. More's the pity.

I'll get back to it eventually.
