Title: More Umland Chipmunk pics
Post by: Clint Ormosen on October 23, 2007, 02:03:27 AM
For anybody that still cares, here's a few more pics of the fuse and cowl construction. The cowl is shaped and the needed holes cut in. I had just put in some fiberglass cloth in the picture. The top block has been hollowed out except for where the canopy goes. I haven't decided how much cockpit detail to do so it's not hollowed yet. The Brodak 40 is mounted in with 4-40 bolts and blind nuts. The spinner spacing is good.
That's going to be about it until I get a chance to clean up the shop a little. It's a MESS!

Been following you here, Clint.  Everything is taking shape!  Nice job.

But......... I'm still looking in the pictures for the mess.  I just can't seem to find it!  What you got looks like mine after I am finished cleaning up! LL~

Bill,

I should take a picture of the floor of my shop right now. It would make you feel at home.  LL~

Brother Randy,

If I took a picture of my shop right now, the FCC would shut down this site!  And I would be banned from ever entering another contest, I am sure.........  but it's just the way I work! LL~

I didn't take a pic of the floor, but it's just as bad. But the floor doesn't seem to bother me as much as a messy table.

I do have a neat little row of sandpaper stacks lined up by grit. I don't know what came over me but I really layed the primer on thickly on the plane I'm painting. The floor is gray with powder.

Bill,

To say noting of me looking like a zombie (all gray) coming out of the shop. There's dust everywhere and crap stacked all over. I have about 6 projects going. Sheesh, when this thing is done, I HAVE to get the place cleaned up. A little anyway.

Not anymore! I cleaned up a little.

I know the table is too messy when I have to start shoving stuff around to set something else down. Stacking things up is another clue.
