Title: Matching paint lines side to side
Post by: frank carlisle on September 28, 2006, 06:46:09 AM
You can't see both sides of the fuselaage at the same time.......so I took pictures of the side I already had done and am using the pix to referrance taping the other side.

Pretty slick if I must say so myself.

BTW .... I got about 45 hours worth of sanding on the finish so far. And am at about 5 hours into the masking and painting.

In reference to this subject, I think the Werwage quote goes something like;
 "Oh well, I like a little asymmetry in my paint jobs".  ~> #^ **)

Good enough for me!

An easy way to match the sides is to paint, or at least mask one side.  Take a real picture of it.  Project the negative on the other side and mask to the image.  Easy!
