Light profile bolt on gear - Who makes/sells them?
« on: May 19, 2020, 01:36:29 PM »
Working on the S-1 Ringmaster rebuild I'm looking at replacing the wire gear with maybe a carbon fiber bolt on or Aluminum. Who makes/sells these components?

Best,     DennisT

Steve Wilk of Eliminator Props makes CF landing gear exactly what you need

Hi Dennis!  How about something like these?  I use them on Ringmasters and such and slightly longer ones for planes mike my modified Big Tigers.  They're plenty strong enough!  I use the Brodak aluminum Gear Blanks, BG-1964 or BG-1965 with Dubro 1/8" or 3/16" axles as needed/preferred.  I'd like to ask $25 plus shipping or you can easily do 'em your self and save the $5.00  ;) :) :)

How long are those  Eliminator Prop landing struts? It says they are for a Primary Force so I'm thinking they are too long for a Ringmaster.

Motorman 8)

Try moving them up the fuselage side (fit higher up)

Or pick up some 1/2 x 1/8 aluminum strip from a hardware store and bend to shape.
(Similar to the original Primary Force ARF gear).
