In the 1/2A section there was mention of trailing edge warping.  You should have seen the trailing edge on the Vagabond wings after I removed them fro my trusty angle iron.  All I had was the top and bottom sheet on.  I've seen a baby draw a straighter line.   Did not take a picture as I was disgusted.  So the old gray matter kicked in and said no problem.  Grabbed the Windex spray and literally drowned the balsa.  A couple of aluminum bars top and bottom clamped and tape.  Let set for several days and removed them.  Can now use the trailing edge to draw a straight line.   The trailing edge cap strip added and sanded.   Would you believe they are still straight.  Will add pics later of sanded wings with the tips on.   Tom may skin me when he sees what I've done to his design.

Well here are the wings that need some more sanding.   Making template for the fuse.   

That is exactly what I do and it works great. I used to use ammonia and water, but Windex with ammonia works just as well.

Built a WDZ wing out of 1/32 wood....looked like a prop. Did the same with plain water and it worked fine

Well I did another change from Tom's plans.  Got ready to cut flaps.  He calls for 1/4 inch balsa.   I guess I sanded the trailing edges too much and 1/4 was too thick.  So I grabbed a piece of 3/16 that was laying in the pile.  Sanded and doped all hinge sufaces.  Also cut a stack of cloth hinges.  Used the 1/4 for the stab/elevator.   This is where I'm at on the wings.

Forgot to addthis.  Went to hobby shop for the top block.   They had nothing even close.   So out comes the scrap box.  Had piece of 1/2 by 2 and some 1/4 inch.  Width of fuse is 2 1/4 inches.   Sliced up the 1/4 and glued to the 1/2.    Should work as most of the inner area will be removed except for where center strut goes. 

Well this is where I'm at on the Vagabond.  Can't believe I'm so slow on this.  Spent time yesterday fitting the muffler.  Also need to work on the nose of it.  Not that many years ago this would have been ready to fly.   Also that new covering from the fabric store is starting to come around.  Takes more dope than regular poly-span.   But you can see where I have put the poly-fil,  not the craftsman as some on here are.  Guess I should weigh what I have, but it feels light to me.
