It's a mess, but it's mine! The shop

Definitely a work in progress, this is one bay of a 3-car garage.  I had it walled off, and both walls insulated.  Wired for really good overhead flourescent lighting and a LOOOONG power strip on the west wall to power tools.  The tool chests are all on rollers (which turned out to be, not only a waste of money but a real pain).  The garage door is also insulated and the floor is Urethane Coated.  First class.

Now if only I would finish packing stuff away and get rid of the junk I will never use....

Oh, yeah, the polka-dot thing on the band saw is my airgun target, set up for 5 meters.  The sailboat was a gift from my kids, and I love it but don't get around to sailing it much (but wait until my reactions are really shot, then it will be the new hobby).

That big RC job is a donation from a guy to our club swap meet effort to repair the field.  It is for sale, radio and all ready to fly, tool box included.

No, I haven't gone over to the dark side. ( a bit of indoor RC doesn't count, does it?)

Tools that are hard to see are Harbor Freight small cut-off saw, Harbor Freight small table saw, and an arbor press that surprisingly comes in handy now and then.  Of course those tool chests hold a lifetime of professional prototyping tools accumulated from when I was free-lancing as a designer/prototype builder in the toy industry.  All paid for and deducted from taxes!  VD~

The twin rudder model is the E-SkySport 350.  It has a thread on the "All Amped Up" section of this forum.  Basically it is a .15 size SkySport adapted to electric.  Andy Borgogna and I are working together to learn about this new phase of modeling.  There have been a few bumps in the road, but we ARE learning.  Look for my thread on motor mounting, and I think there was an earlier thread about the airplane itself.

After seeing your pics I don't feel so bad. LL~ LL~ My son came by yesterday and I asked him if he seen any difference.  he stated, "Yeah, I see all the horizontal surfaces are stll cluttered.  This after I have gotten rid of several boxes and tubs that were just filled with what ever I could pick up in the old basement.  So far I have found 6 brand new in the box engines.  Sold some books I have had for ages.  Also sold several used engines.  Three of them reside in the UK.  Don't ask how many planes I deemed unflyable/unrepairable.  Slowly getting organized.   H^^

I think Jim has his planes programmed not to crash.  Also that basement is way to neat and clean.  Must be the RC side of him. LL~ LL~ LL~
