Looks like late night building to me :-)  your being  too hard on  the mechanic  here  LOL
Not really a problem just bend a nice radius around so it points back towards the tail...  problem sovled

Yesterday I was hacking out pieces for my Sheeks airplane.  Got all the tail parts cut and thought these are really light but flimsy.  Went to cap the ends with 1/4 square and noticed THAT wood was somewhat thicker, in fact it was about 1/16 thicker than the "1/4" I used on the stab...      

(BTW, new parts cut from REAL 1/4"  )

I would cut the taper into the plate the right way, then fill in the edge with balsa after I glued it on.  Most of that part of the plate is going to be sanded off anyhow.  Also you then don't have plywood to sand down on the edge.  Been there, done that!

That's not a mistake. A mistake is:

Building two outboard wing panels for the same plane.
Building a wing and putting the leadout in the wrong wing.
Making the outboard wing longer than the inboard (or flaps)
Intstalling the stab upside down.
Putting the tank vent on the outboard side then wondering why 7 oz of fuel isn't enough to complete a pattern.
Building a plane for one engine, then decided halfway through to use a different engine but forgetting to modify the cowl to accept the new engine until after the plane is painted.

I could go on, but these are mistakes and yes, I've done every one of them (and more). If it's recoverable, I fix the problem. If not (like the leadouts heading out the wrong wing panel), I pitch it in the can and start over. It's amazing the decisions you can make when your tired.

I was building a rubber powered Sukoi and i built one fuse side on the plans as described.  Then proceeded to do the same thing again.  Had two very nice left sides.  That was 7 years ago and it still erks me because I really wanted to build that model, but oh well.

Can count the number of times glue on the bottom block and no tail wheel wire even in the plane!!! 

I was building a Herns Demon for OTS.  It has leadouts coming out over the wing.  Got it built and was making the fuel tank, which slides in from the front.  Realized that something was wrong as I was building the fuel tank upside down.  Then I saw that I had built the airplane to fly clockwise.   

Too late to make a change. I had learned to fly going clockwise, then switched over to flying counterclockwise, with the handle upside down, for many years.  So decided to relearn old tricks.  I have now been through two contests and flown between 50 -100 flights.  I am almost as comfortable as with  flying ccw.  I think with a few more flights, it will be about the same either way for me. 

It has been very challenging and interesting to do, however the airplane I am building now will go ccw, unless I make a mistake.  If you are getting bored with flying, I recommend learning to go the other direction to put some spice back in. I am looking to be, like George Aldrich, equally adept flying either way.   

I have a very nice looking rudder with the airfoil sanded on the wrong side hanging on the wall as a reminder. The worst part was I remmember thinking I should be very careful to to sand it correctly. I Did not notice the error until I had finished sanding and was test fitting the part.
