How long do you have to wait before you start sanding and buffing out clear? Here in Texas 85 degrees, about 35-55% humidity. I'm thinking 5-7 days.

What kind of clear? Dope?

Sorry, yes Randolph clear butyrate.

You won't like what I say but here goes. Dope will gas of for a month so I would wait that long at least.

Here is how long exactly. When you put it in your car with the windows closed for a hour in the sun and come back and can't smell it any longer it's ready to sand. (It's done gassing off)

That's a good idea. How about if I fly it now and sand on it later? Great forum Robert.

Fly Now sand later good idea! All of you not me are what makes this forum great!

Sort of the opposite of catalyzed polyurethane that you have to sand within a day or two or it gets too hard. Wait a month, but go ahead and fly it

I'm thinking of trying the two-part auto clear next time. A bit scary the first time.......
