Title: Hinges in a foam wing
Post by: Curare on October 06, 2013, 07:06:29 PM
Hey guys, I'm just about to start assembling my new dog, and I've shied away from it at the moment because I'm waiting for hignes to arrive.

In the mean time, I've been thinking, considering my trailing edge of the wing is only 1/4" wide, is this enough meat to glue the hinges into? I'm using du-bro style pinned hinges.

Should do the old toothpick trick?

Many designs show a doubler glued behind the trailing edge piece. A short piece of 1/4" square behind each hinge slot will do it.  Extend the slot into the added piece.
