Hinge slot tool
« on: May 26, 2010, 10:05:20 AM »
I just came up with this idea today, I sharpened the end of a computer case slot cover, I use a proper hinge tool and guide then use the sharpened slot cover to finish the job, works great.  y1 #^

As a saw or a knife?  In other words, how are you getting the excess material out of the slot?

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Hi Tim
That's a good question, probably as a knife but maybe it pushes the material into the slot but I can't knock the results it worked great.
Thanks Tim

G'day Dwayne

It looks like a very good idea, what does the end of the cover strip look like?

Cheers, Geoff
