Title: Help making two identical landing gear legs.
Post by: Glenn (Gravitywell) Reach on February 17, 2010, 05:44:43 PM
Hi all.  I am wanting to bend the landing gear for my RM +P and have trouble making two that are identical.  I saw somewhere that one fellow was somehow bending two wires at the same time, thus making them the same.  They were attached to each other somehow, but I can't remember if they were just soldered together, or were done in some other manner.  Any help on jogging my memory would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  H^^

I posted that.

I soldered two pieces of 1/8" wire together, bent them, then melted the solder.

Solder melts in the 400-450 degree range.  You need to get steel up over 1500 degrees to damage the metalurgy.
