Al Rabe has a great method of building round type fuselages:(http://i49.tinypic.com/2qcijo7.jpg)
Note Jig pockets. I am building this one now. Makes me want to revisit the Sukhoi, Yak 54,55 that I really like.

Thats exactly the way real aircraft are built. The formers are mounted into tooled locations and then the longerons are added connecting it all together.

Just like building model ship.

I built rubber jobs with that method many years ago and carried that type of construction to building giant scale R/C particularly Zirolis models.

If you go to Stuka Stunt you will see most of his planes are built in similar fashion. His wing jigs are one use jigs also. I have his CD's on the plane builds. What is fun is the molds he makes for forming the balsa skins. H^^
