Ward, this looks like a jig i saw and built and still have and use from R/C Modeler in the 70's. It is an excellent jig. #^ Ron.

Hi Terry,

If you want to buy a fuselage jig already built you can buy one from Tom Niebuhr of blue sky models for $150.00 + SH. which he shows under specialty items on his website.  I bought one from Byron Barker of CF Slattery which is steel tube construction with an aluminum base plate and aluminum L brackets.  Tom Niebuhr's is all wood it think.

However, I built one just like Ward showed you and it is a dream to use.  I used  3/4" birch plywood for the base and used 1/4" birch plywood for the brackets instead of hardboard just so it would look better.  As Ward says, it is a great jig and only takes a short time to make.

I also had Byron build me a wing jig that is 60" long out of steel tubing.  We are building an LA Heat wing on it all in one piece.  I have his wing jig, fuselage jig and wing alignment jig and they are all 2" steel tube construction.  You could build a B 52 on these things.

Hey Walter,

Was great to see you and Jim at King Orange.  How is the Ringmaster coming along?  Also does Jim have the baseplate for the fuselage brackets or
does one have to make his own?

I have one from Byron Barker at C.F. Slattery.  It would take about a *pound* of C-4 to damage it! LOL!!

Seeing the names of the others who are offering them, also, I would not hesitate to get one from any of those guys. y1

The base is just a long piece of shelving or a similar type board that you buy at home depot or lowes.
