I remember the Comet fuel proofer just coated the plane in a layer of wax that would peel in a heartbeat and I could not put it on smoothly.
It also added weight at an astounding rate so all I used it on was the fuselage and center section of the wing and tail.
This was allright though my free flights did not last but one flying season at that point,crashes, fly aways, etc.
Sort of a bitter sweet moment, standing there watching weeks worth of work dissapear,but being proud that the thing would fly at all.
