Title: Formula 560
Post by: Geoff Goodworth on December 12, 2009, 08:20:14 PM
G'day folks

Does anybody know if there is a solvent for Formula 560 Canopy Glue that will not damage balsa?

Thanks in advance, Geoff

As far as I k now this stuff is pretty much impervious to everything accept maybe a prolonged soaking in castor oil (don't ask). On bare balsa I would think it would peal off fairly well. I'm assuming is a bead of glue holding a canopy of window in place. If you've laminated balsa with it, I think you're pretty much stuck with what you have. (no pun intended!)

Looking forward to other replies.

It isn't waterproof and will soften if wet but not sure that helps.
