Hey guys...brand new to Stunthanger and just getting back into stunt after 15 year hiatus....I have a Forerunner (the 46 size one) I built in 1996 and flew once. It has been a hangerqueen sitting in my garage since and the balsa sheeting has lifted off of the foam core right at the joint where i glued the sheets together....basically just behind high point of the airfoil, all the way across the wing..top and bottom. Is there anyway to glue the sheeting back down...i.e with a syringe...anything? Or do I ned to strip the finish (monokote ...it was my practice plane as I had a Bucanner with Stalker 46 for competing) off and repair? Any help would be appreciated...

I think the answer will be one of 'it depends' (as it often is)...
When composite model sailplane pilots suffer a skin delamination, they will often simply drill a series of closely spaced holes in the skin, and then inject foam-safe CA into the holes, pressing the skin into place (if necessary) until the CA kicks off.
While you could likely do that right through the monokote, you may have better luck stripping off the covering at a minimum.

Thanks for the suggestions....I think I will try the injection method with some sort of syringe. It's not that bad really...just figure it will get worse before it gets better....especially under stress of patterns like you said.
The reason I hung this model up was engine run problems. Started with a plastic clunk tank and that didn't work so well so I went to a metal tank...same problems (erratic runs that just acted like fuel draw probs). So I recessed the tank and had better luck but never got the run right. I said I only flew it once but now I remember about 5 or 6 flights all with engine run problems. I also had a Bucanneer with a Stalker 46 that ran just flawlessly so I may have been spoiled...that Stalker was just sweet. The engine on the Forerunner was a Lew woolard Fox 40 so I'm pretty sure it was tank problems...the engine was solid. This time I will be putting an OS LA 46 reworked by .....somebody. Been out of stunt so long I'm not really up on what's out there right now. Any suggs?

That's what I am hearing here on stunhanger....so I will go with the stock LA and put a metal backplate...I've got some FP40s lying about...and the needle valve and venturi off of same. I guess if I don't like the stock I can always send it off for re-work later...but I have read countless threads here on stunthanger where the out of the box LA does just fine. Especially since I haven't flown a pattern in 17 years, I don't really want to be fiddling with motors...just need to FLY!
