Seems I remember reading a thread on how to build a foam wing. Or maybe it was on a web site?
Anybody know of a good web source for a step by step on how to put two wing panels together?
Bell crank install, lead outs, sheeting.
Thanks
Paul H^^

Buy the video that Windy did with Scott Smith....all you'll need......

Paul,
Here is a very comprehensive outline of building a foam wing written by Dan Winship, a topnotch builder.
http://winshipmodels.tripod.com/foam_wings.htm
Most every detail that you can image has been covered here.
Don't forget to use the *search* functions on all forums, and of course, run a search in Google. You will probably get more information than you really want.
Here is another source of information on foam wing construction. It's a video by world class builder , Bob Noll. Unfortunately, it will not answer your questions about bellcrank installation, etc. as it is oriented towards RC. Still, it is suberb information and a 'must see' video for your collection.

p.s. When I added the second hot link, the first one refuses to work. Just "Copy and Paste" the first link into the Address window on your browser.

Paul,
Just to get you started, here is a pic of a Windy's bellcrank being reversed mounted in a foam wing. Photo is upside down.
The verticle play in the bellcrank is maintained by gromments on the shaft, and the shaft support will be made by a 1/8" plywood plate on both ends of the shaft, after the wing halves are joined, and the wing installed into the fuselage.
There are lots of experienced builders in this forum that can add details to the subject.
Cheers.

Peabody is correct, I bought Windy's 4 tape set on foam wings and as a bonus he sent me the 2 tape set he did with Scott Smith. The tapes are dirrected at the first timer in foam wings and is loaded with the basics. 5 Star material.
