Pictures of Veco Papoose
« on: November 14, 2009, 02:07:12 PM »
Just finished up the Veco Papoose kit I bought from Larry Richards.  I got to tell you this is a very nice kit.  All parts were hand cut and labled to match the plans so you did not have to guess where a piece went.  The quality of balsa was excellent. Larry's kits are well worth the money. This is a fun plane to build and fly  and will be powered by an older OS Max .20.

Great looking plane,  a Papoose with a McCoy .19 was my first C/L plane.   I keep saying I'm going to build another.

If my memory is intact... it may not be. I had a papoose in the early 60's and I thought mine was an open cocpit with a head rest and windshield. Could I be wrong?

I believe the old Veco kit plans showed three or four ways to finish the cockpit including open...

Yes the old Veco kits had side views of how to change the appearence of the planes.  Just by using a different canopy or just windscreens.

Looks great!  I really like it.

I had a Papoose back in the early '70s.  Used an Enya 19III.  I did the *NAVY Fighter* version shown.  There were three or four versions shown, including a *mini* Chief looking one.

Might build another one some day! ;D
