Title: Finishing open bays with "epoxy" paints
Post by: Bill Little on May 19, 2007, 07:04:30 PM
Ok, what is the consensus about finishing open bay wings with epoxy paints?  Klasscote being what I *think* everyone is using to replace the old Hobbypoxy.

Does it work?

TIA

Haven't used it myself, yet, but I ordered a bunch of Klasscote. Darrell Harvin brought over his Stiletto a couple of weeks ago, raving about the ease-of-use and the results spoke rather well of his efforts.

EDIT: Sorry, neglected to specify the Nitrate base coats. Mark's comment is 100% correct.

My only comment on this would be to remember it wont shrink the silkspan. SO far,,, dope is the only way to do that
