FAQ about the Almost Ready to Cover Ringmaster
« on: June 05, 2009, 02:31:25 PM »
I have had a few questions about the Almost Ready To Cover Ringmasters I have been building for some of you folks and thought I would take a few lines and try to answer them here.

I build them to order and do not keep an inventory.

Yes they are Old Time Stunt legal the way I build them

No I do not cover the wings due greater risk of damage in shipping

I do install adjustable leadouts unless you do not want them

I do include a tip weight box usually not installed.

I use Tom Morris control systems.

I do install the bell crank and the lead outs but do not finish the lead out ends unless you request it.

The stab and the elevator are hinged together with Dacron cloth hinges

The control horn is the old plywood type but can use a nylon horn if you want.

I do use both solid leading edges and built up leading edges.
Built up leading edges are reinforced for extra strength

I do include the wheels, landing gear, wheel collars and gear retainer straps.

The pushrod is installed and cut off at the trailing edge for shipping purposes and I do include carbon fiber rod if you choose to extend the pushrod with it.

All you have to do is drill for the engine, install the gear, add a tank, install the wing, stab and rudder and use whatever fillets you choose.  Covering the wing is up to the customer with whatever material they choose.

I have posted prices in the classified section.

Thanks to all of you who have bought them.

Mike

That looks great.  For those that have no place to build it would be worth the price.  Was going to make a comment about if no place to build, where do you finish, but,  with the new iron on finishes no problem.  Can even finish it in the living room.  Hope you sell a lot of them.  DOC Holliday
