A lot of you have had questions regarding various types of glues and their sanding properties. One of the more difficult areas is the cap strip/leading and trailing edge joint. Also the difficulty of securing the cap strips while the glue dries. I thought I'd share my method. Photo 1: I use Gorilla white glue and smooth the bed by running a finger along the edge of the rib. I leave about 1/4 inch bare at the leading and trailing edge of the rib. Photo 2: I put a small dot of medium CA on the bare spot. Photo 3: I hold the cap strip in place for a few seconds for the CA the set. Done! I have found the Gorilla glue to be the easiest to sand of all the white glues I've used. Have fun!
