I thought I would ask Bob if he would move his workbench down here to align the nacelles but with at least four on his bench waiting I decided to try and fake it.  The motor is bolted into the nacelle.  In a perfect quad "P" I rebuilt the nose with the nacelles off. So much for the jig.  I suppose I could have made one that had a cutout for the nose but if I had sense enough to do that, I would have had sense enough to not do a second outside square with a 75oz plane flying 6.9 laps.  So here is what I did.  Leveled the plane on it's table mount.  Bolted the motor into the nacelle.  Slipped a 2' tight fitting CF tube over the motor shaft and put a line level on the tube.  Used the tube to hold the nacelle on while the epoxy dried.  I will post a video of the plane doing a slow roll on takeoff... LL~

I am finding out why insurance companies total cars that are just a little crashed!

Time for the electronics.  I moved the ESC power switch to the top and 3" behind the prop arcs.  The old one was in the arc and scared me even though it never acted up.  Even with the wires shortened as much as possible you still get a blivit.

Timer came today. Climb & Dive Twin "Hourglass".  The size is slightly larger than the Fiorotti with a detachable start button and LED.  Fit like it belonged.  I am removing the timer power switch in the picture that was for the Fiorotti and moved the start button back taking it out of the prop arc.   That was a Quad "P" that so far had not bitten anyone.   n1

The Hourglass timer is installed and working.  Since I got no responses indicating otherwise that the Power Switch on the Jeti Pro 33 ESC could be shorted I proceeded to eliminate them.  It seems that the Hourglass timer uses ESC1 for timer power and ESC2 for landing gear power and they do not conflict like they do on a Fiorotti.  Powered it up today and it passed.  Now on to getting the ESC compatible!  It was good to find out that the Prop Strike on either prop will kill both motors at the same time.

Bad News - The Bluetooth App on the Android is no longer available.  There might be an alternate or a way of getting it outside of Google Play.  Aggh...........

I’m not familiar with the hourglass version. Is it a single timer that wires up to two ESCs?  I will be using a standard C&D timer with ZTW ESC on my Legacy.

It is the next evolution of the Climb and Dive.  Full of goodies. I am one of a few beta testing it.  What I am finding about technology is that your ability to understand it is inversely proportional to how long you have been using it!
