Title: Elevator Size
Post by: Leester on December 10, 2006, 03:15:41 PM
On a current project the Stab and Elev are cut then cored and ribs installed then sheeted. While making the elevators and coring I noticed the inboard elev is 1/16" longer and less material is cored out for the ribs. The inboard wing is 3/4" longer than outboard. There are no building notes saying this but it's very noticeable on the plans. Is this common ??
Looking closer I think the removed area is the same as one is longer and narrower and the other is shorter but wider.
