Molding dummy engine parts

Guys,
Has anyone done a mold (vacuum or other) of an engine from plastic or other materials to be used as a dummy engine? I want to mold a Drone Diesel head and cylinder to use as dummy engines (I like the wedge look of the Drone)? What material works, what technique did you use?

I'd turn it from a dowel.

Or bid on one or both of the two that are up on the 'bay, and forget this "dummy engine" stuff.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I was thinking about building an electric plane and molding a PA engine to put in the cowl.   ;D

 I'm sorry, but the whole idea seems like a large waste of time. I would say to do whatever the display model may be the justice of mounting a real engine.

Micro balloons and resin, after it's cured with the proper mix, allows for shaping just about anything. Pour it in small dixie cups, hardens into a block.

I've made interior parts and scale radial cylinders using this stuff. So has plenty of other guys that make scale parts.

Time consuming, but it's been done by plenty of scale builders. Well, R/C that I know of anyway.   n~

That is very cool.  I wonder if there's some Pavlovian mechanism that would enable a person to smell it.
