Title: Bending fuel tubing
Post by: Leester on March 01, 2006, 04:25:51 PM
Several months ago I asked about positioning vents ,fill tubes etc. and Bill Little told me to heat the Brass or copper tube let it cool then put weed eater line in the tube and bend by hand. I am just getting ready to do this and was wondering do I need to use a torch or can this be heated enough just on the stove burner? Yes I know use hot pads. SAFETY FIRST

A gas stove will work fine.

I just finished bending. What a piece of cake, that really softens it up and the weed eater line keeps it from kinking.
