Try writing to Pat Johnston at patsplans - at - yahoo.com. Pat designed it and I'm pretty sure he has the plans.
-
Pat has both the profile and full fuse versions. I got a very short kit with ribs and plans for both a year ago from him. Am building the profile first, but have been dragging a** on it! You'll love it Roger, either way. The wing is the same for either version.Like Randy sez: patsplans@yahoo.com
or try: www.brothersofthering.com and contact him through there. His entire plans list is published there.

Roger-This is the plans for the Brodak one. Pat designed the profile first for John to kit. Then John changed his mind and wanted it to be a full fuse. So Pat re-drew the plans. Like I said, the wing is the same for both.
Pat does have plans for a BIG Bearcat also, but this isn't it...

So Richard, you're finally gonna build a Bearcat. Didn't you have a bearcat kit back in the day? Are you going to finish it in the Corky Fournof (did I spell that right?) color scheme?
-
No, I didn't spell that right. This is the team of Bill and Corky Fornof flying Bearcats. I saw this act - it was A1 ! Gotta love those radial engines.
-
Well, if it's the original J-Roberts Bearcat, Brodak sells them separately from the kit...or you could buy the kit from Brodak (recommended)...or you could buy or trade for my original J-Roberts Bearcat kit (oops, wrong forum).
FWIW: I checked the Brothers of the Ring website and found the plans for the big F8-F but not for the smaller one that Brodak is kitting. Not to worry though, I'm sure that when the kit comes out the plans will be sold separtely as John generously does with all his kits. 8)

Yeah Frank, still trying to finish one. I have a TF Gold Edition RC .60 size kit I have been toting around for the last 25 or so years, about half built( some of it got busted a little). I have been in touch with Corky over the last few years, and he gave me the GM color #s for it( their paint scheme). I plan to do the profile version with it.
Thats the problem with retiring at 50, no time to do anything fun!
Pete: I don't know what Pat and John's agreement is/were, I just know what Pat told me, as far as John rejecting the profile version. No foul I can see...I just got a few ply and balsa parts for a profile and 2 rib sets that work on either version, and the plans.I will certainly buy the full fuse version kit from John when the it becomes available.

guys the one im re-building is the 40 size i bought years ago from brodak it has a solid tail on it not a build up. it has 38 inch wing .
-
That would be the J-Roberts Bearcat, now kitted by Brodak. It is listed under "Classic Carrier" on their web site. Plans sold separately. 8)

Roger,I didn't know you were working on a profile carrier model. Sorry for the mis-information.
You might post your question in the carrier forum: http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?board=25.0
Someone there may very well have exactly what you're looking for.
