Title: Another Magnum In Progress
Post by: Greg L Bahrman on June 08, 2006, 09:25:43 PM
Trying to ketch up with Mike Clark. I think we're running a close second..Grins   **)
1. Wing is dialed and glued in.
2. Controls are in.
3. Motor is in. on aluminum. pads (ST 51)
4. Tank is in.
5. Main Gear is in.
6. Added Bill Byles Pushrod adjuster and access window for it.

Next is the Stab and the rudder and the tail wheel mount.
Then finish the fuse in veil.
According to the plans the fuse bottom is supposed to be 1/4 thick. I built the structure that you see on the bottom using 1/8 X 1/4 wood and I will cover it with 1/8 sheet. Trying to save a little weight and not lose any strength.....Your thoughts???    y1

Greg,

Everything looks good so far!

I like the idea you have of cross braces and sheeting the bottom.  It will add strength, but I don't know if it will cut a LOT of weight.  The extra strength is worth it.

Only thought I have is for Fuse mounted gear.  **)

Waiting to see it finished.  y1
