Sealing masking tape ?
« on: November 06, 2007, 05:43:18 PM »
Hi ,

Just a short question , this time ...

Do I still run a thin line of clear dope on the edge of the masking tape to stop the second colour from bleeding under ?

Thanks

Rob,
I usually apply 3 or 4 coats of fairly thin clear to the edge of the tape-- I use a small brush, maybe 1/8 inch or so.

I have been doing a black and white checkerboard on my Legacy wing and use three or four coats to be sure that the tape intersections are sealed.
