Title: Old Guy, New Trophy
Post by: Leo Mehl on June 24, 2011, 09:35:17 AM
Someone at the Regionals at Eugene decided to give out a Mathusela award for the oldest flyer there. As they are presenting this trophy I realized that maybe there may be someone flying that was older than I, But alas they called My name as the oldest flyer there. I am not sure if I am that pleased about this or not.  I sugested that this be a traveling trofhy just in case someone shows up that is older than I. But the only flyer I know of that is only close is Keith Varly, but he is a year younger than me so If I cancel my Birthday next year he would win. In any case I thank you for issueing me a trophy that only took 79 years to win. Included is Picture taken of a freind of mine and I when in High school. That was a few years ago. I suspect that Randy will live to a ripe old age and one day he will be my age and still be able to fly. As for him being young now-- I wonder. HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~> LL~ LL~ LL~
