Title: My stunt grunt of the day.
Post by: RC Storick on November 13, 2006, 02:44:47 PM
Ron O'tool is my current mentor. I was not around St.Louis during the 60tys I was in Tom Warden country. But after arriving to St.Louis Art Shaffer said that Ron would be the best one for me to talk to. So out of the blue I called him and met him at the park. Ever sense returning to stunt he has been my mentor.

Here is a photo of him in the Yellow Jackets T that were around during the Youth Air State Champs.

Thanks Bob!!!
That is a great photo..and thanks for your contribution and photo.

If any of you are lurking....scan somthin' and send it with a few notes that maybe a few others who have seen this post will tag on with more comments about  RON O'TOOL.

What a tasty and unique model.

In those days...builders and flyers seem to fly with so many design ideas in mind.

Ron is a great guy to talk to about trimming and detail stuff. He is always eager to help and was not ever shy about telling me what was what with my models and my flying, even though he could get a little esoteric!
He sold me his two brand new PA .61's for a song, too. They run great Ron. Thanks a million.
