Post by: Shultzie on March 02, 2011, 12:08:05 PM
Norm Whittle...Thanks for relighting photos from the days gone by....
Just a reminder for everyone...why not take time and dig through your collections of old photos...
Fire up the scanner and share some with us?

First is a shot of the late Jim Parsons.....who was such a dedicated modeler and advocate for control line during the 70's through the late 80's until his untimely passing.
He gave so much to so many and will never be forgotten.

The second photo...HELP! WHO ARE THESE GENTS???..and what a beautiful model.
GADS! SOME ONE JUMP START MY LAME BRAIN'S MEMORY BANK???

"Thanks Mark for ID un' these guys....Dumb n' dumber Don, the old one exiled here in Gig Harbor.

The lower airplane is Chris Cox's plane (heh?). It's a very modified Impact. I always liked that plane. The stooge is indeed Mike Conner and the Chris is own self.

I also remember Jim Parsons. Toughest judge west of the Mississippi and a really good guy.

I even recognize the Peete behind Parsons. I think that was Bob Parker's plane though it could have been Bob Emmet's.

The bottom pic was taken at the west parking lot of Boeing Space Center. Flew many a contest there. I was probably around when the picture was taken.

Man, I feel old.
