Nick and I use a John Deere powered Flite Streak.  We are having a little trouble getting the rubberband from the Deere to the Streak to last more than one trip.  Leo said back in Montana he used a Farmall tractor and it worked much better.

Well, since I am one of the "younger guys", I'll throw in the Ford '53 Jubilee tractor.  Just the right size for hauling planes!

Randy didn't show up. But we had a good turnout, and lots of airplanes were flown, with zero crashes. I flew, and didn't crash! No rain, mucho clouds, some sun, wind not bad. We had the montly meeting at noon, then split. Planes flown were a much modified Twister by Mike Haverly, an ARF Strega by Pete Ferguson, a Jamison by Pete Peterson, a Skyray 35 by myself, the ex-Randy "Raptor" by Rod Claus, an ARC P-40 by Billy Darkow, and a Midwest bf-109 by Walt Russell. No planes were broken. Ben Jones, Thadd Faussett, Ron Canaan and Mike Potter also made appearances, but no airplanes. Total: 11

The South Circle is in pretty good shape. The N. circle is a bit rough, but the Raptor was flown there, with no drama. Most arrived in 4x4 pickup trucks or fwd Mini-Vans.   LL~ Steve

Nope, I didn't make it. I didn't finish my honey-do list last week and had to complete it yesterday. The price of being gone all next weekend. I did get a flight in at the school late yesterday, but that was it. I was run off by the beer league guys.

Before I moved to TX this was the best way to get to the flying field! Now, if the global warming crowd would give it up, the dogs would be happy again!

Man, that dog team and sled brings back a few flashbacks about flying in the wintertime in northeastern Montana. Not much fun but it kept you from having cabin fever. mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ mw~ HB~>
