Here is a detail of Darrell Bills and Andy Anderson..

Although this old drawing is filled with gifted model makers and Wind Tunnels that really made HUGE CONTRIBUTIONS during their incarseration career I would like to highlight a few exceptional Wind tunnel Jourman Model makers, Darrell and Andy, who all of us could rely on to smooth out the glitches during tunnel changes...
I had known Darrell Bills way back as far as 1961 or 62. In those days he was a well known electronic specialist in the photo processing industry where he  received numerous patents for processing equipment and even more importantly he was involved in perfecting and upgrading the heart monitoring EKG systems that have saved so many lives.

However his first love was aviation and building CL  stunt and scale models and later R/C slope soaring gliders...AND PERTAINING TO CL MODELS...
Darrell was even brave or fool harty enought to  allowed me to test ride his amazingly beautifully built Kenhi Panther which ended up having a very very short life span. (Flying in a field laced with dandy's and daisy's..that his lines hooked on take-off.
Although he never joined AMA or flew in contests,  his workmanship and building skills  was out of the world. He did get a lucky ticket out of Boeing Early to enjoy his rather untimely death...and passed this life waaay too soon.

Darrell also loved motorcycles and his custom paint work was so creative.

Next below Bills is our  Wind Tunnel lead Andy...shown below him in the drawing detail retired on that Early retirement loonie toon..... Andy sadly also passed away shortly after retiring. Too many years of smoking and sucking up too many toxic wind tunnel test chemicals.

Chris, are we being picky this morning??? LL~ LL~ LL~ I have to find any of Schultzie's posts that didn't pertain to aviation.  Southwestern Bell was on the band wagon of paying people to retire early.  I almost didn't retire early enough with 34 years of watching change in communication.   H^^

Perhaps Chris was referring to one post from one our brothers in paint fumes that seem to feel a tad bit too strongly that our "AS TIME GOES BY" forum column should STICK TO STRICTLY "CL MODEL AIRPLANE TALK.

Being a "so called Administor" perhaps just one of my many major flaws here on Stunt Hangers...has been talking about too many folks over the 71 years I have been waking up each morning that have made a difference in my life or in the life of others.

I still believe and hope that ANYONE who shares that similar "feel then need to share, uplift or share human beings that have made positive changes in their lives...is WELCOME TO SHARE THEIR STORY on this AS TIME GOES BY thread line.

Over the past years...thinking back I  have only DUMPED TWO POSTS from a couple of "Wanna-be-Policemen?"
So at this time I too would like to offer my apologies for comments typed in haste....that might have not been acceptable in their "MINDS EYE~"

Having sad and said that....I  too have added a  Enhanced Embellishments, photos or comments" and same goes for our  brothers and sisters in balsa dust...who do not like what is being posted on this AS TIME GOES BY has a right to contact our FEARLESS LEADER SPARKY have every right to do so.
So with that...LET'S JUST KEEP GOIN' ROUND AND ROUND just for the FUN OF IT!
