Bob Hunt and Billy Werwage
« on: November 27, 2006, 09:46:03 AM »
Two "Grunts" that have helped me!

I have two friends (and I am glad to call them friends) that have helped me, andmy son, immensely over the years:

Bob Hunt

Billy Werwage

I want to thank them both for all the help they have given!!!!  Even are gracious with answers when my questions have been *DUMB*!

(I don't have any pictures handy, but these two are readily identified I think!)

Looks nothing like he does in Model Aviation now.  But, the auto in back ground should tell who it is as well as the garb he is wearing.  DOC Holliday

Does anyone know how Mr. Werwage is doing?  I heard a rumor that he hurt his Achilles tendon. (??)

Bill Little,
Just an suggestion:You might need to turn up you monitor's brightness control when looking at these pixs. When you adjust these and  re-send them out, they are washed out. I hope this doesn't offend you, as its not the intention at all! H^^ Hope it helps! I really love these old pixs too!!!

Hi Richard,

Thanks!  I only see what I have here, so I didn't know the effect you are getting.  The ones I run through the infranview on my computer look fine, so I just wasn't aware.   The ones before I work on them look dark.  Everything else is bright, though.  Maybe it's just my old monitor.  I think the hampsters get tired and the voltage drops..........

BTW: do you know anything about Billy?? ;D

Yup, it might be time to retire those old hamsters and hire some fresh youngsters! LL~

If you take the first pics that Ty posted here and adjust your brightness on the monitor, it'll be well in the ballpark, unless your wearing tinted eyewear 8)  !

I use a colorimeter on my(LCD) monitor for the photo biz, so it has to stay very calibrated.

Don't know anything about Billy, but I bet Bobby Hunt would know , if anybody would! y1

Hi Richard,

Well I just added it up and I guess this monitor is no more than 10 years old.....I did get a new computer a little over a year ago, but didn't have the money for a new monitor, too!

BTW:  I tried to adjust the brightness...... nothing!  What's funny is that all the little icons and everything else is brioght and the right colors.  Just some of the pictures (not all) are dark.  I post to another modeling site (non airplane) and there is no problem there.  I dunno............

So far, no further word from Mr. Robin Hunt.  That worries me...........

Bill,

If you have the tools on your computer, you can adjust the gamma setting. It will help to lower the gamma.

Hi Randy,

Thanks!  Btw: I had a Gamma Ray Gun when I was a kid, same thing??

Just kidding, but I don't know a Gamma setting from a spark plug setting when it comes to computers!  I only use them........

Bill,

Sort of depends on the video card you have and what tools have been installed, but on Windows, under the Display settings tool, there is an advanced settings button that brings up the available tools to adjust your monitor. I use an NVidia card that includes it's own settings stuff (this under Linux), but usually, video card makers integrate their tools under the Windows Display tool's advanced settings (if you use Winders). Right click on the screen and select properties to see what you have.
