Vector 40 ARF
« on: August 20, 2020, 06:13:07 AM »
Hello,
could someone confirm for me that the control horns are not glued into the trailing edges of the wing and stabiliser in the Vector 40 ARF?

There are no bearings in the kit and the manual does not mention glueing the control horns in at all.

It is just unusual to me to do it this way.

Also, I have not used Dacron hinges before. Any good reasons not to try them out?

Thanks

I have 2 V40 ARF's and none have the horns "glued" in. I'll assume you mean a bearing strip installed.

Dacron hinges on an ARF would entail cutting away the plastic covering No? Then what?

WAY too much work, Just install pinned hinges, not the CA hinges.....

Dave,
thank you for that. Yes I meant glueing the bearings in, which there are none in the kit.

Pinned hinges are my preferred so I will swap the included ones out.
