Yes, I'd agree the Brodak Cardinal is a better profile than the Tutor. However, the Tutor II
still has an appeal for many. My post was more of an observation from similar occurrences
from the past, where a product or knowledge is lost to time. The design is a C/L plane of
some merit. It likely didn't sell very well because of the poor fuselage integrity around the
ARF's motor mount area, and word of this getting around??
If the model becomes a kit or scratch/plan built, this problem could be avoided by the builder.
Anyway, I think the design should survive, in some form, plans at least. - Either by Top Flite
itself, or by someone with happens to trace out and draw up a set. It would be a shame if
all our models were the same design. Being a larger plane than the original Tutor, the
mark II would make a good project for those looking for a bigger profile, as most profiles
are 'usually' sized for something like a .35 or smaller.
