My T-Rex recently experienced a non fatal in flight wing failure. The modification I used to fix the problem is added onto the build thread on the T-Rex that I have previously posted in the Electric Forum on page 4 of the thread.

thanks Bob - that was a good article to read whilst building Thunderjugs.....
I made a lot of structural changes to the wing of mine after seeing how poor the wood (and construction) was on the ARC I got.....
my mods were a little more simple I think, only as I did them before I assembled the plane - they included
1: Gluing carbon rods into the wing joiner boxes - 2 to each box. (as the joinersdid not line up 100%, I used slightly undersized rods with epoxy coating all round so I had a little bit of adjustment.
2: I glassed the entire centre section top and bottom.
3: 2 layers of tissue and nitrate .......
( I also did the shear webs etc as recommended)
Wing came out STRONG - so I hope I dont have any issues with failures

Good thinking on your part. My center section joint was also glassed.
