Any news on the Brodak T-Rex as to when its going to get here?

I've been out flying with Brad recently, and I he said it should be
pretty soon. He's been flying the last prototype and it really looks
good in the air. One of the things I've noticed it that it looks very
easy to fly. I've watched both Brad and the plane and I've noticed
that it looks like Brad doesn't have to put much effort at all into
flying it; meaning that it looks very easy to handle. I've also noticed
that the plane looks very stable and doesn't seem to have any
'funnies' at all while flying. The T-Rex is going to be a good one!

I agree. The T-Rex is a joy to fly. It really just glides around, has a good corner, and goes where you point it with little bobbles. It is also very easy to pull around. A huge engine is not needed. It is indeed very "old school" in its flight and feel.
My proto is painted on SLC film and weighs 67-69 oz (depending on the engine I use). I figure the ARF is going to weigh in the 58-62 oz range with a muffled 2 stroke.
The T-Rex will be here in a month or so... the container is supposed to leave any day.

What is the estimated price tag for one of these puppys?
-
Richard , just checked the Brodak website , $199.99 for the T-Rex arf .

Thanks Bill!

Having seen this baby fly many times, it is definitely worth it.
That is a really good price for a quality plane.

Hey John,
Cut Dennis a little slack... he is on Cheezhead time. LL~
One day in Cheezehead country is like 14 days. ---Waiting on the snow to melt or the wind to stop blowing. @@^

Who's to say the new ARF/ARC's will fly as well? I will wait for the 40 size one. DOC Holliday

Bob,
Talk to your dealer Frank and I think that he can set you up. I see that they are in.
John
EDIT: I hope you like orange or ARC....

Did ARC's come in?

Yes

Brad,
It looks to me like the T-rex would be killer with an electric in it, also Saito .62 PA 65-75. I assume the nose was designed that way so cooling for an electric motor would be great?
Jim Pollock, My hats off to you sir for designing such a great plane H^^
-
My T-Rex will be getting an axi 2826/12. It is ideal for electric setup. Thanks for the mount system Brad. Many of us electric fliers have noted it. Much easier than the Strega's Dennis and I have converted.

Just out of curiousity: How many of these did John order? I see that its suppose to be available in Green, White,Yellow also...will they share the same trim colors as the orange one?
-
Not to be sarcastic, which I usuallly am. Why not call the little lady at Brodaks. I hear she is very friendly. DOC Holliday
-
No sarcasm detected John, but the color scheme question was intended for its(T-Rex) designer(Brad),to see if maybe he knows. And I know the nice lady at Brodaks is nice!
-
There were four colors specified. I guess there was a major snafu at the manufacturer.
-
I got it, someone at the UltraKote factory doesn't like Oklahoma so they gave the ARF factory a really good deal on all the orange in stock ;D ;D
