Anyone have experience with the stock control horns in the T-Rex kits ???....Like, how do they perform or I should say how does the plane perform ???

I think they are first class especially the adjustable elevator control horn. Just my opinion.

Worked fine for me.  I do think Brad recommends a different throw height-see his T Rex comments.

I asked Brad for the dimensions and he repied as follows:

I use 1.25" flap horn.
1" elevator horn.

4 inch bellcrank with pushrod hole at .9".

The stock controls are fine.  Better than any CL ARF so far.

Just so we are clear, I was really asking about the performance of the plane with the stock pushrod positions. Probably was not too clear in my first post....Thanks

Just make sure the flap to elevator controls are 1 to 1.

What happens if the elevator moves more then the flaps?
Willis
The reason I’m asking is the plane was nose heavy and I added some extra elevator Then I found out it was nose heavy and added tail weight but didn’t change the controls. I think the plane flies Great but wonder what the difference would be one to one.

I think that would be better than more flap to elevator.   H^^

Well, it depends on the weight, but it has a lightning corner with one to one.

It was designed for one to one.  If you require more elevator, you most likely the CG is pretty far forward.

I'm using mine right out of the box with everything that comes with the ARF and it is fine. I always build slop into my elevator controls but this has all the ball links with no slop and it's fine.
The airplane really grooves well. The only thing that I would wish for is a cowl that would let you get your finger on the venturi to prime the motor rather than have to turn it over to start. But hey, if it's goopd enough for Bill Werwage (He always flips his planes over to start) I guess I can live with it.
I have about a dozen to 15 flights on mine and I have to say I'm really enjoying it.
