And up here we call them Harvards.:)

It is one plane you don't have to look up to identify. The sound of the shock waves coming off the prop tips as they fly by is unmistakable.

Back on topic, I like how the "flying level" motor break-in flight turned into stunting :)
Hard to just fly round and round with a stunt model.

Is that a Racer X sticker on the tail? :)

I kinda knew I would not keep it just level!

Another good video.  I too break engines in by flying.   Set rich and slowly go in with the needle.  Remember flying low to the ground makes engine run richer.   Looks like you have a winner.   Thought about you with all the shut down of activities.  The local race tracks are getting back in action, but I guess the state and county fairs are a no go.   Too bad the politicians don't have to foot the bill out of their pocket instead of the tax payers.  Any way glad to see you are still with us. It is fun to fly so far. Beefed up tailwheel and landing gear. Trying different props.

Yes...all my work cancelled.
I retired from my act.
Flying is a nice break from politics.

Had to beef up the landing gear mounts...other than that, good to go. Enjoy yours!

Shug it is good you are still flying.
If I may it sounds like the motor is running rather lean. It is a good idea to copy a setup from someone else and do EXACTLY what they recommend. Tuned piped motors run in a narrow range and if you want to change speed you do not change the way the motor runs but you change the pitch of the prop. To change the pitch get a container at least as deep as the prop blade is long, heat the blade with a heat gun to soften the resin, twist the blade to change pitch then place the blade in the water to cool off and set the new pitch.
I am probably one of those who watched all your videos. I wish I had a little camera to look at the wing during the flight.

Yep....still getting to know it. Flying with a 2 blade prop now. Flew this morning. Taking off very rich as I noticed I was too lean and engine was sagging. Flew like a charm last 2 times.
Today was first day flying full pattern. Grooved right through with good vapor trail. I like it. I like it a lot. 68" lines now.

GerryG,
You should know there are no Maidens in Stunt.  Have to go to Scale to find them.

NEVER  ever  break in a  PA  AAC  engine  or  most any other  ABC  AAC  engine  in  by  running  it slow and  rich in the  air, You can damage the  engine, kill the  rod, and  you  will NOT properly  break-in the  piston sleeve fit,  These  type  engines  require  you getting them up to operating  temp  for the  parts  inside to grow to the  size it needs to, to be  properly seated  and  get a stable engine

Regards

Duly noted for future.
Seems to be flying well for me. Maybe I got lucky. I did have a good bit of ground break in time on it. Enjoying it.
Ran it too rich a few time and too lean a few times but have a good setting now.
5.2-ish lap times. Seems slow but great tension on the lines and goes through all stunts without a hitch
