Yessir.....I need to feel a big plane in my hand so ordered the Strega ARF from Brodak. Building time is limited for me and I have another kit I want/need to build so an ARF it is.
Will beef it up in some places after reading up on the Strega on this site. Ordered a Magnum .52 from Randy Smith that he has blueprinted. Can't wait to feel the feel this coming flying season. I got a flying itch bad...but Winter still looms here in Minnesota.

Sounds cool Shug, I just hope we have a place to play with our toys.

Me too)))) sounds like we have the old site until maybe April if I recall from the January meeting. Hoping to get out some in March/april if the snow stays light. Heck....I do everything else outdoors.
Fingers crossed on a site.

Don't forget pictures. Now have anyone done a Google Map to see what areas could be approached or used. I think that is how our Dave Trible found our new site.

I thought Jeff Welliver with the help of the AMA got a permanent site up there ??

Is a .52 gunna have enough grunt for a Strega ?? I have always heard Windy say it needed at least a 60 .

Randy Smith told me the Magnum .52 he re-worked will have as much power as a ST.60. I sure am hoping so.

If Randy said it does, then it does !!

Yes, that was the story behind our current site. From the start it was a year to year deal that will now be lost to us sometime this spring because of property development by the land owners. The spot we had to move to and clean up for use in 2014 was on the same property, but in a different area on the north end of the facility. This is the location seen in all of Shug's 2014 videos. Our original spot on the south side is unrecognizable as our old field and now has a new GIANT concrete building sitting on it. :-\

I got an impulse this morning and went and flew today. So good but windy and nose-runny. Shot some video trimming out a new Saito .40 on the Plan B Nobler. Nice. Then did a pattern with the Prowler. All home in one piece. I love that flying site.
Went by the fire station to visit Keith and picked up the re-worked Aviastar .46. We had a good long visit about all things control line.
Culling through video now.
