NoblARF Cowling
« on: September 15, 2011, 02:10:49 PM »
I have 2 cowlings to fit for 2 of my NoblARF's. The "kit" instructions don't give much useful information on fitting or mounting of the thin cowling. I have cutting and grinding tools left over from my previous life as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic, so that's not a problem. My previous attempts have not been very secure. Does anyone have any specific advice on cowling attach points or fitment methods? My thoughts are to attach to the front end of the motor mounts forward of the engine mounting screws.

I attached mine with 2 sheet metal screws into the motor mounts and added 4 blind mounting nuts on the inside of the fuse lower edge for 4 more screws.
