Title: NEW Vector ARF — Question Regarding the Cowl
Post by: Kafin Noe’man on May 12, 2022, 06:59:48 PM
Hi all,

I just got myself a new Vector ARF that I will put ENYA SS40BB at the nose.
This will be my first built-up fuselage ship and I am just curious, will it be fine if I don’t install the cowl?

Only familiar with profile fuselage setup, I guess the cowl will be a hassle when I need to make the NVA adjustment or so on, how do you deal with it?

Looking forward to hearing more!
Thank you.

Best regards,
Kafin

A properly installed cowl will cool the engine better. There should be no problem adjusting the needle valve, be sure to adjust from behind the engine for safety. Plumbing the fuel lines to the engine and the fill and over flow lines to the outside allows convenience. I hope someone can provide a picture for this.

These may help. It’s the same with or without a pipe. Uniflow setup will block the over flow for flight. None Uniflow will leave both vents open
