Hi Jim and Dennis:

My new E-Vector ARF is ready for testing except minus the spinner and wheel pants for balance purposes.
Mine has the new Brodak 2826 in it and with the present set up the RTF weight is 47 oz..
Given the specs of the various motors the Brodak should be a ton of power for this plane.

That Brodak motor has nearly identical specifications as the Cobra 2826/10. I’m thinking you have plenty of power.
My Primary Force is right at 45 oz ready to launch, I’m running a Cobra 2820 on that. It does very well.
I’m putting a Cobra 2820 in the Vector as well. I expect it to do the job. But, if it needs more grunt, or if it’s tail heavy, the 2826 will bolt right in.

I have seen the light, and it’s powered by a lipo.

Can someone who has finished and flight-tested the E-Vector 40 post the complete electric setup.  Specifically interested in the final choice of motor, battery and actual charge usage, prop/RPM and line length.

I got one for my kid, and ready to buy batteries, but don't want to miss out on capacity.

Thanks!

I’m using a Cobra 2826/10, Castle Edge Lite 50, Hubin FM-9, and ThunderPower 4S 2800 battery. The prop is an APC 12x6E cut down to 11”. Lap time is about 5.1 seconds on 60’ lines.
I don’t know off the top of my head what the RPM is. If I recall correctly I started at 9300 and went up a little bit from there.
At the end of the flight the battery has 26-27 percent remaining.

I think an APC 11x5.5E would work, too.

I had a Cobra 2820/12 in it and that gave similar performance until it turfed multiple times on takeoff at Brodak’s and let the smoke out.

I went flying today and paid more attention to the details.

Actual RPM is 9090.
Flight time 5:40.
29% battery remaining.

I’m sure the bigger motor is more quiet than the 2820, which doesn’t make sense to me because I thought most of the noise was generated by the propeller. It’s definitely quieter, maybe the motor isn’t working so hard?
