Hi Gil,
Sure the spars are there, but they just butt together in the middle. There is another spar in the middle of the wing that is continuous across but I believe this is just for aligning the two halfs when assembling the wing, it probably does not work that much.
The reason I concern about this is because a friend built this ARF for me and used one thin layer of a fiber cloth that fail.
I have apply 3 layers of a thicker.
See the picture of the cracked wing with one layer.

Hi Doc,
It does not taper and you are so right, it will cause a stress area right at where the fuselage begins. Will have to keep an eye there.

Hi Rudy,
1- The problem is that the spar just butt at the middle, like a foam wing.
2- The pipe is not resting there, but it is close. I wonder if the heat somehow weaken the epoxy and caused the failure. This is my first experience with pipe engines. Is it my impression or the pipe will make the engine run hotter ? I use a Dave Brown Pipe Mount for the pipe.
3- Yup the SV-11 flies amazingly well. I was probably doing some very hard cornering with it when it fails.
Thank you all for your input
