Help with Brodak ARF Cardinal
« on: September 01, 2010, 09:40:43 PM »
Hi all.  I am hooking up my control rods and can't find which hole to put the elevator pushrod into.  The first pushrod goes from the middle hole of the bellcrank to the top hole of the flaps.  The second rod goes from the middle hole of the flap horn to ....?  Top hole of the elevator horn?

I know the answer is probably somewhere in the forum, but I have a terrible time finding anything! LOL  Thanks for any help. H^^

I have a new P40 ARF and the instructions (#21) say to attach the shorter pushrod to the middle hole on the elevator horn.  The longer pushrod is attached to the middle hole in the flap horn.  Thus, when the two rods are connected and soldered together, it is 1 to 1 flap to elevator movement.

Of course your Cardinal may be different. :-[

The instant I read the replies I smacked my forehead! LOL  Of course it needs to be in the middle hole for 1 to1 ratio! LOL  Oh Man.....I am getting old! n~ LL~

Thanks for the replies.  By the way, excellent fit on all the parts, 4inch nylon bellcrank, and excellent control horns and pushrods.  Didn't have to take anything apart or replace one item. #^
